In your estimation, how many organizations have a disciplined approach to implementing their strategy?

In the Norton/Kaplan book called The Execution Premium, they reference a survey conducted where 54% of respondents said that they had a formal strategy execution process in place. Now of course this was a survey of their online membership, and a small set of survey results, so it might not be representative of the full population of organizations.

In my experience, the number is much closer to 20%, but you also have to further define "disciplined approach" so that we maybe can give examples.
